The secret to delicious barbecue grilled ribs is boiling. But not just boiling, it’s what you boil them in that makes the ribs so mouth-wateringly scrumptious.
For perfect, taste-infused, fall off the bone, summer loving pork rib barbecue perfection, you must first boil your ribs in apple cider. Yes, you heard me. Apple cider will take your ribs to that special place. Make them now, thank me later.
Best Barbecue Grilled Ribs Ingredients:
- Pork ribs, cut into portion sized sections
- Apple cider, enough to cover your ribs in a stock pot
- Barbecue sauce, pick your favorite kind
Best Barbecue Grilled Ribs Directions:
- Bring a stock pot of apple cider to a rolling boil and add your ribs. Turn the heat down to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes.
- Remove your ribs and baste generously with barbecue sauce. Place on a low heat grill (approximately 250 degrees), at the perimeter of the coals, for about 7 – 10 minutes on each side. Baste between flips.
- Serve and enjoy!
*Note: If your grilling weather is not up to par, you can do the last step in a 250 degree oven. It doesn’t have quite as much charm, but they’ll still taste delicious!
