This is one of those meals that my family asks for all the time. It’s easy enough for weeknights and it’s yummy enough for company. You can make it easy on yourself and use store bought rotisserie chicken and pesto or you can cook the chicken yourself and make your own pesto sauce in a food processor. I usually take the easy way and that works for me!
Ingredients:
- 1 box of bow tie pasta
- 2 T margarine or butter
- 1 lb of chicken shredded or cubed
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c pesto sauce
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/2 c of shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Cook pasta,drain
- Heat butter in skillet and cook chicken ( or just skip this step and use a rotisserie chicken)
- Add soup, pesto, cheese and milk to the chicken
- Bring to a boil and simmer on low for about 5 minutes
- Stir in pasta and heat through

Sounds easy and yummy. Thanks for the recipe!
I just had pesto chicken pasta tonight for dinner but of course I went out to get it…this sounds easy enough to do at home, thanks!!
This is absolutely fabulous! I just made this tonight, the first meal cooked for my new husband. We got back from out honeymoon late last night. I saw this post today during my lunch break at work, picked up the ingredients on the way home, and we had this instead of the cold sandwiches we had planned. I made two small changes – I used romano cheese instead of parmesan, and I added sliced mushrooms to the sauce. Thank you! With this, our first dinner at home together was awesome!
