Easy Italian Pasta Casserole

This Easy Italian Pasta Casserole is one of my absolutely favorite go-to meals. It’s simple, yummy and unbelievably versatile. Add some garlic bread and a tall glass of milk, and you’ve got one deliciously quick dinner.
Easy Italian Pasta Casserole Ingredients:
- 13 ounces uncooked pasta (we use whole grain)
- 26 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 14 ounces diced canned tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
Easy Italian Pasta Casserole Directions:
- Prepare pasta according to package instructions.
- Reserve, half of the mozzarella cheese, then combine all remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
- Pour ingredients into a large casserole dish and sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over top.
- Back at 375 degrees for approximately 15 -20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly (I like to turn my broiler on for the last minute to brown the cheese).
- Enjoy!
NOTE: This recipe is especially great because you can play with the flavors so easily. Mix it up a little by adding some of your favorite veggies or precooked meats. Here are some of the ingredients we like to add:
- Pepperoni
- Sausage
- Cubed or Shredded Chicken
- Ground Beef or Meatballs
- Green Peppers
- Spinach
- Olives
- Squash
- Zucchini
- Onions
