Is it too hot, cold, rainy, snowy, windy, any or all of the above for you outside? Some days, you just want to stay in. Here are some ways to liven up a day inside to keep yourself and your kids entertained without too much mind numbing television.

  • Make an obstacle course
  • Build forts with furniture, sheets and pillows
  • Make a hopscotch board with painters tape
  • Do scavenger hunts around the house
  • Play hide n go seek (this works really well if you find a really great spot and bring a magazine and relax while hiding)
  • Stage storytime in the playroom
  • Do puppet shows
  • Do art projects - paint, color, cut, glue, create
  • Have an indoor picnic
