Normally, I’m not a fan of short stories. I can’t define a reason for this quirk of mine, I just don’t typically like bite-sized stories. I want the REAL DEAL. I made an exception for The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted: And Other Small Acts of Liberation because I have loved everything else I’ve read by Elizabeth Berg (Other favorites include: Open House: A Novel (Oprah’s Book Club)
and Until the Real Thing Comes Along (Ballantine Reader’s Circle)
). I am about four stories in to this collection, and so far I am loving these stories. They are perfect to read in those small moments when my daughters are entertaining themselves.
