Jessica Alba enjoys a classy, French country style baby shower with her friends in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 24th to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her second child. With a spread including French cuisine prepared by Chef Jarrid Masse, watermelon-shiso sweet tea, strawberry spa water and peach bellinis, what more could a girl ask for?
In lieu of giving baby shower gifts, Jessica’s guests decorated onesies that were donated by Giggle for her new addition. Many of her guests also made donations to Alba’s most loved organization Baby2Baby, which helps families in need with baby gear and clothing in the Los Angeles area. I personally love how Jessica was able to celebrate with her friends by having a nice gathering yet acknowledged there is a higher demand for baby items outside of her home. It’s nice to see a celebrity requesting her gifts be donated to a charity to help other mothers with a true need.

Jessica Alba was spotted leaving her shower full of smiles after this relaxing Sunday afternoon. I’m guessing her friends had big smiles on their faces when they departed as well, considering they were showered with gifts from Jessica. Each guest left with a Coach purse filled with Lia Sophia jewelry, Drybar gift cards, a Juicy Couture scarf and O.N.E. Coconut Water. Now that’s a nice party favor, wouldn’t you say?
Speaking of celebrities that are expecting… Lindsay Davenport, the pro tennis player, is expecting her third child. She was recently placed on bed rest by her doctor after experiencing some complications with her pregnancy. Unfortunately that means she had to withdraw from the World Team Tennis Pro League. She felt guilty leaving her partner on the court, she tweeted, yet she knows she must listen to her doctor about what’s best for her soon-to-be daughter.
With Davenport having a four year old son and a two year old daughter, is it proper etiquette to host a third baby shower? How many baby showers do you believe to be too many?
