I’d like to think of myself as a “Martha Stewart type” around the house. But, reality check, I can’t sew, I’m not that crafty and I am really not that patient when it comes to home projects. So, what is a domestic diva wanna-be to do? Get crafty!
I am forever on the prowl for easy things I can do that give me that “so domestic” feeling without the frustration. I found these ideas online and did a little happy dance because they were right up my alley.
- Candy corn and candles in mason jars? Yep, I can do that.
- Cut out a felt monogram from a template and glue on a pillow? Glue is a little risky for me, but I think I could handle this one too!
- And while I have my glue and felt out, I bet I could handle the hound silhouettes on hounds tooth fabric slipped into spray painted frames! A little complex, but a fun challenge!
- Pine cones strung on wire? Not a problem!
- Gourds in glass jars. Doesn’t get much easier than that!
- Wow, this would be stretching my craftiness, but felt strips glued on Styrofoam balls do look really cute!
- Fastening a wide ribbon around candles to create a stunning centerpiece? Setting it all on a moss and garland base? I think I can!
- Pine cones glued in clay pots? I’m feeling blissfully domestic now! Watch out Martha!
