If you are looking for some paints for your children that are NON-TOXIC and contain NO HARMFUL INGREDIENTS… look no further… Eco-Paint has arrived!
Eco-paint is a powder-based paint handmade with flour, cornstarch, seaweed, natural and organic fruit, plant and animal extracts from beets, spinach, paprika, carrots, purple sweet potato, red cabbage and blueberries.
To use, simply mix a 1:1 ration of powder to water in a small container. Get out the brushes… and have fun safely!
Eco-Kids is based in Portland, Maine and they have a whole range of other natural, fun, art materials for children (play-dough, paste, chalk, pencils, paper pads). They sent me a container of these awesome paints and I had fun this weekend painting “masterpieces” with my two granddaughters, ages 2 and 4.
The colors are bright and the paint mixes easily. Each cardboard tube (also good for the environment!) comes with 5 containers of the all-natural paint powder: blue, green, yellow, red/purple and orange. Each color makes 12 ounces of paint, but you can make the paint thinner (and it will last longer) by adding more water.
This set of paints will make an excellent gift for any child who loves to paint, and guess what? Adults will love this too! The best part is… it’s completely free of toxins and harmful additives.
