Bring Snowy Fun Indoors with a Wintery Icicle Garland

We’ve had our share of snow lately, but it’s also been terribly, terribly cold, and the kids haven’t wanted to spend more than a few minutes outside (leaving a lot of time to burn off inside). We put this sweet little garland together with materials from around the house, and it was simple enough for our three-year old to help.
Materials:
- aluminum foil
- needle and thread or fishing line
- clear beads
To Make:
- Tear the foil into irregularly shaped pieces ranging in size from about 4″ (big icicles) to 1″ (mini ‘cicles) long.
- Roll each piece into a crumpled stick of foil and squash together (that’s your icicle). Make sure it’s well crumpled to get a lot of good sparkle-action.
- Poke the needle through the thickest end of each icicle to thread onto the garland. Alternate with clear beads for an icy effect!
