Besides flowers one sure sign of spring is…..insects! And with that in mind, how cute are these??? 

All I have to say is, if you have to have ‘insects’ around the house, why not these cuties? If you’re like me, you probably have most of the things needed to make these in your ‘survival kit.’

Supplies Needed

1. Pipe cleaners
2. Craft Beads
3. Buttons
4. Craft Glue
5. Googly Eyes
6. Permanent Markers

After gathering all the supplies needed, have your child imagine a creature he can make by threading the pipe cleaners through the button holes. Encourage your child to be creative, by letting him/her link multiple buttons/beads and shaping the pipe cleaners into wings, legs, antennae and more. Note: You can twist together pipe cleaners to add extra length. Once they have completed the body, add a mouth and eyes.
