Well, it’s hard to believe it’s August already. Summer is almost over and many parents are gathering school supplies and amassing new wardrobes for the little ones. But there are still a few days to enjoy so why not take some time to remember the summer?

How to make a Vacation Collage
Much like a scrap book page, a vacation collage is a collection of memories. Ask your child what their favorite part of summer was and make a list. Perhaps you spent some time at the beach or Disney world? You can include shapes and textures from that time. Really, the sky is the limit!
Depending on the age of your children, you could use favorite photos, shapes or even sand to create your collage. Simply start with a piece of card stock and some glue and get to work! It will be fun to see what your children took away from the experience. The key is not to over direct and really let the collage be about their memories!
My son is 18 months old and one of his favorite things about this summer was the Ice Cream! Our vacation collage was in the shape of an Ice cream cone that we decorated together.
Have you made a vacation collage? Let’s see it!
