I love note cards to use for a last minute encouragement to someone, or as a gift to give as a set. I often throw together several sets to keep for future presents. These particular cards are postcard style, meaning they are not a folded card but 1/4 of a sheet of regular sized card stock. The sleeve that the set will go into is a sticker sleeve. I save this type of packaging for projects like this.
Supplies:
An old book like a Readers Digest Volume easily found at a thrift store
Card Stock
Permanent Gluestick
Stamps
Ink
Envelopes
Sticker or ephemera sleeve
Step One: Tear several pages from your book. Make sure there are not any librarians or book collectors near by, they will surely cry and then take the book away from you.
Also take note to never tear a book in front of a small child otherwise like me you may find a treasured volume in pieces. It’s difficult to explain why you can tear books and they cannot.
Step Two: Trim the book pages to the size you want on the note cards. I tore some of the edges for interest.
Step Three: Glue onto your note cards with a permanent glue stick.
Step Four: Stamp the note cards.
Step Five: Let them dry, add envelopes, put into some sort of packaging and tie with a ribbon. Voila!
