Make a Trendy Market Tote

With all the efforts put into going green nowadays I have to say I don’t think very much has been saved for making green totes…well, cute. I carry my canvas tote to the farmer’s market, library, etc. I’ll be honest though, it’s a pretty blah looking bag.
However, The Purl Bee comes to the rescue with this incredibly easy and trendy tote, from Italian designer Elisa, who was inspired by the Climbing Trellis Lace pattern previously featured on The Purl Bee.

What I really love about this bag, other than it’s cuteness, is how easy it is to stick into the diaper bag or stroller. It takes up very little room yet expands to hold just about anything I need!
Goodbye boring canvas bag! Hello beautiful, handmade accessory!

This is so pretty! Who wants to make one for me?
I love this! Maybe someone can come up with a crochet pattern for this. i haven’t learned to knit quite yet.
I haven’t learned how knit yet either. I’d love to see a crochet version (although I am thinking about learning to knit…)
I love this! I have so many of the different canvas bags and they are certainly something to be desired. I have considered just fabric gluing some cute fabric around my existing bags to add some flair but this could definitely lend itself to some fun and creative bags
I love the idea of fashionable environmentally-friendly shopping bags.
Thanks for the tip.
