Playing Catch The Turkey
When I was a kid, my sister and I invented a Thanksgiving game called “Catch the Turkey” that involved taking a blanket and throwing it over our younger brother and yelling “Catch the turkey!” It was meant to just be a one-time antagonistic act but over the years it became a tradition. Maybe I should introduce my two year-old to Catch the Turkey this year…

My kids and I have been doing a lot of Thanksgiving crafts.I have posted them on my blog at http://www.jennwa.blogspot.com
My mom always made a turkey out of a big brown paper bag. It had a slit in it’s back which we “stuffed” with our blessings written on slips of paper. Usually we did this through the entire month of November. On Thanksgiving, we then dumped them out the turkey’s contents and read them before our thanksgiving meal.
Turkeys in Bloom is a tissue flower turkey project. Help the kids make a bouquet for your centerpiece, or use them as napkin rings by wrapping the stem around a napkin.
