Summer days are supposed to be breezy and carefree, right? So why not lighten the load in your bag and knit up one of these trendy little bags?

I recently found the pattern for this beautiful little Square Cake Handbag over at Knitty. If you’re not familiar with Knitty you should definitely check out some of the fantastic patterns in their archives.
This pattern was designed by Jairlyn Mason. I think it’s the perfect bag for summer and can be worn with casual or dress attire.

Nice handbag … is it easy enough for a novice knitter ?
Hey Trish-
I would say the pattern is for beginner to intermediate knitters. If you can follow a chart and work with sequins it’ll be a cinch. If you’ve never done either, then there’s no better time to try!!
