With Thanksgiving just a few days away, it’s time to get the kids excited and involved in decorating! Get your kids in the holiday spirit, help keep them from going stir crazy in the colder weather, and make some super cute decorations to save year after year.
Supplies
- Orange, yellow, red, green, blue and brown construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Create
Trace each of your child’s hand on the orange, red, green, blue and brown construction paper. There will be two hands for each piece of paper. Cut each hand out.
To create the body glue all of the hands except for one brown hand to create a multi-colored tail.
To create the turkey cut out a beak from yellow paper and his “waddle” from red paper and then glue onto the thumb of the remaining brown hand.
Glue the turkey to the body
These cute decorations are a fun way to track your child’s growth over the years.

We LOVE print projects they are so much fun to pull out the following year to see how much we have grown. We did a modified version of your handprint turkey and made it into a turkey headband – because dressing up any time of year is SO MUCH FUN!
