Everyone loves to paint! Now you can include your toddler in on the fun without worrying about safety. This simple recipe makes non-toxic and easy to clean (edible) paint. Safe for even the youngest kiddos!

Yogurt Paint Ingredients:
- White yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- Food coloring
Yogurt Paint Instructions:
- Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of yogurt into small dishes for painting (I use cut-up egg cartons).
- Add 1 to 3 drops of food coloring to each dish of yogurt.
- Mix well.
Yogurt Paint Ideas:
- Learn (teach) your colors!
- Finger painting!
- Stamping!
Yogurt Paint Thoughts:
I take heart in knowing the paint is safe and non-toxic. I do not, however, tell my children it is edible (for fear they will eat paint when introduced to the real thing!). We love to roll paper over the kitchen table and paint with q-tips or fingers. It’s a great way to practice letter tracing, shape making and learning secondary colors.

This is a fabulous idea! I was trying to think of a homemade paint recipe earlier today. I forgot to pick some up when we were in the city earlier and want to do some crafting with my 3 year old this week. Thanks for the recipe!!!
I bet this would be great for “painting” toast, pancakes and other food too!
Great idea. I love that they can eat it too, makes painting even more fun.
What a great idea! I know tons of different types of things children can paint with but didn’t even think of yogurt
I’ll have to try it with my 21 month old!
What a great idea! We do this with pudding but yogurt never occurred to me. THANKS!
