Here is a quick easy print project for the kids – Valentine’s Day cards to make for Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma or friends. Making them up with ordinary office paper is fine.
Window Cards
These are window cards. You can place any image on the inside of the card to show through the window. A window adds a bit of interest to your card and makes it rather special.
Easy Cards to Make
You need:
- card printout
- an image for the window
- scissors
- glue
How to Make the Cards
Trim the card.
- Fold across the midline first
- Fold down the other midline second
- Cut out the windows where indicated
- Glue the image where indicated
- Add your message
You’re done!

Card Making Techniques
For a window card like this I like to fold before cutting and get rid of the two windows in one go – (clever or lazy – or just cleverly lazy!).
Cutting Window Shapes in Paper is one method to help you to keep your office paper less crinkled.
If you want a choice of images that are sized to fit the window spaces you can get the Window Pictures by checking out this page. Just cut and stick!
