Any meal time can be made a little more special with handmade place cards! These simple crayon and watercolor place cards would be a sweet touch at your Thanksgiving table, too.
Supplies:
- watercolor paper, or other heavy paper
- crayons or pastels
- watercolors
Cut your paper to size – ours were 4.5×6″. Fold in half to mark the middle, then unfold. Use crayons or pastels to write each person’s name on one half of the place card. We chose to draw a fall picture on the other side. The darker you make the crayon, the better it will resist the watercolor.
Paint the place cards with watercolors and let dry. They may curl a bit – I placed mine under a heavy book once they were dry.
Hope you and your child enjoy adding some handmade place cards to your next family meal!
