Since the birth of her daughter Honor Marie, Jessica Alba is edging closer and closer to her prebaby weight and body. Honor Marie’s photos are rumored to be appearing in an upcoming magazine issue.
Recently, Jessica Alba discussed that she never ‘never felt less sexy’ than in her pregnancy days. She went on to say that she ‘wouldn’t have changed it for the world…but I wanted to get rid of all the weight.’ (per August issue of U.K’s Cosmopolitan)
Some women are rumored to feel sexiest when pregnant, which brings up the question: if you’ve experienced pregnancy, did you feel sexy or unsexy like Alba? Did you enjoy your pregnancy body, did you dwell on the weight gain/increased size, or just feel sort of normal?
My name is Amanda. You can find me holding down the fort at my own site, Shamelessly Sassy.

Sure, there were days that I felt like a whale…when I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoes, or I couldn’t quite make it up the stairs without huffing and puffing…
BUT – I couldn’t help but think that without this weight, my baby isn’t getting what it needs and growing like it should. I saw it as a blessing, a blessing that a lot of women never get to experience. I felt so beautiful when I was pregnant.
I dislike the fact that Hollywood places such a premium on your size that you begin to resent the most precious things in life – like bringing a baby into the world.
I felt awesome until month 7…and I didn’t show hardly at ALL until then (surprisingly, my boy was a average 8 lbs 7 oz). Once month 7 hit, I grew a basketball overnight. I think I started to feel grossly huge around then, but it may just have been because it was summer, too, and that just seems to make it worse.
I loved being pregnant every time. And I loved how my body changed. Yes, I was big, but it was still amazing how it transformed.
I would like to lose the last remainder of the weight though.
I love this post – how you tied it in with such a thought-provoking question!

I never feel more beautiful and sexy than while I was pregnant. I never had morning sickness and I felt physically fantastic the entire pregnancy. I loved, loved, loved being pregnant!
Jessica Alba very sexy babe… even when is pregnant
I birthed five babies—not all at once!—and loved the way I looked. I felt very ‘present’ in my body.
How have so many celeb moms managed to gain only tummy weight? J Lo is the only mom, recently, to acquire a fuller face during pregnancy. And she had twins! I just read that Nicole Kidman did a perfect backbend in yoga, a few days before her daughter’s birth. Wow!
First, Cmommy’s comment about celeb moms only gaining tummy weight – who knows? I only gained tummy weight, actually. People were amazed, but honestly I didn’t do anything differently than others. It’s just the way you carry. Perhaps some of these moms were extra paranoid?
And, despite only gaining weight in my tummy – no, I don’t feel very sexy right now. I’ve had a nasty splotchy rash, serious aches and pains in my hips recently, and can’t stand looking at my stretch marks. I don’t think it’ll be better after the baby is born, either! I feel fine, really, but not sexy. I feel a bit more like a whale.
I would agree with Thursday abou the stretchmarks, my stomach started to look like a road map of britain. The c’ankles from high blood pressure were not pretty either and I was a lot clumsier when I was pregnant or at least it felt that way. I had visions of me lumbering down the street from behind.
I did have good days, my hair and skin were in great condition when I was pregnant, much better than normal days, so some mornings I woke with beautiful skin and lovely soft shiney hair which sat perfectly.
Those days were brilliant, I miss those days.
I was very fortunate and only gained belly weight myself. I felt very sexy, especially because tummy rolls became smooth, tight prego belly.
