American Idol’s New Judge Brings Talent to the Table

American Idol begins this Tuesday, January 13 on Fox for its 8th season with a 4th judge at the table. Kara DioGuardi, a world famous songwriter, is no stranger to the show and its past winners, having worked with Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood as well as superstars like Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, and Faith Hill.
Something tells me when she says “you were a little pitchy” we can take her word for it.

OK, I liked her but…
She did get a little catty with Bikini Girl which only made her come across as, well, catty. Yes, Kara sang the song better. But the fact that the girl was nodding her head like a bobble-head spoke volumes. Kara could have let her go unchallenged (with a simple NO) and still get the last laugh.
On another note, I love that Kara is willing to admit that the average person a) doesn’t know who she is, and b) can’t pronounce her name. She’s a keeper!
