Is Evangeline Lilly about to bite the black dust much like our beloved Charlie and Mr. Eko? Stories are running wild that Lilly had been auditioning for pilots, leading to speculation that she may not finish out the final 6th season of the hit series LOST.
Reports started emerging yesterday that LOST was going to kill off Kate and that she was already looking for new work. Zap2it reported:
“Rumor has it, Kate might not live “ever after” at all. Solid sources tell me exclusively that Evangeline Lilly is auditioning for pilots … pilots that are intended to launch this fall. And Ms. Lilly’s people apparently told producers she will be available. Say wha–??”
ABC will neither confirm or deny the story… Based on previews, a “Skate-centric” episode is looming in the near future, and you never know where that could lead. {Sawyer/Kate for the non-LOST-ites} Evangeline Lilly’s rep has issued a statement claiming that any rumors of her leaving LOST before it finishes are just not true.

If this turns out to be true, this is really big. I had always assumed that Jack and Kate were the two that were untouchable, they would never be killed off. Even though she isn’t my favorite character, I can’t imagine Lost without her.
