In this tearjerker, Susan Sarandon is Jackie, a divorced mom-of-two who can’t stand the new woman in her ex-husband’s life. But when she discovers that she has cancer, she decides to teach Isabel how to care for her kids after she’s gone.
The bonus watch: Gilmore Girls

Just about every episode of this hilarious seven-season series featured the strong bond between mother and daughter Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. After having Rory at the young age of 16, Lorelai practically grows up with her daughter, becoming the best of friends. And despite seven seasons of hilarious mishaps and relationship drama, these two remained close until the bittersweet end of the beloved series. Backed by a fantastically quirky cast, this is a must-see.
