I survived back to school shopping just in time to find a ton of fabulous stuff to share with you guys for the week.

Free Stuff:

—Build A Bear Free Stuff-  Visit the Build-a-Bear website to find locations near you that are participating.  Each week a new free gift will be given away when you visit the store.

—Popcorn Snack Cakes- Is it just me, or does "popcorn snack cake" sound so much better than "rice snack cake". 

—McDonald’s Southern Style Chicken Sandwich- Get a coupon for a free sandwich with purchase of a drink.  I find it funny that we in the South have our own "style" for our chicken.

—Recycled Post-It Notes-  I buy post-it notes whether I need them our not.  Then I write phone messages and notes on take out menus and receipts.  Go figure.

Contest Stuff:

—Softlips Perfect Lips Photo Contest-You know it’s bad when your son asks you to blow kisses so that he doesn’t get scratched. I will not be winning this photo contest, but you could.

—Lucky’s $17,000 Shoe Giveaway- 17,000 could go a long way for a shoe wardrobe, even if you have size 11 feet.  Not that I do…

—Contessa’s Nims Island Fiji Getaway- When I was little, I thought that Fiji was the land where Fig Newton’s came from…so I really wasn’t interested in visiting.  Now that I’m grown I’d love to visit Fiji…and/or eat a Fig Newton.  I’ve grown up a lot.

Fun Stuff:

—Play Sudoku- I. Am. Addicted.

—Battleship- Much better than playing with your husband, ’cause the computer doesn’t peek at the location of your destroyers and submarines.

—Star In an Olympic Video: After you get your coupon for a free chicken sandwich, upload a photo and star in your own Olympic video. You can even embed the code for your video into your blog. I knew I’d be an Olympian somehow.

—HTML Basics for Bloggers-  HTML makes my head spin.  And not in a good way.  Luckily there are a few basics that even I can get.

—Learning to Style Hair- I’m a loser when it comes to fixing my daughter’s hair.  This blog has helped so much.

—Back To School, Earlier and Earlier: Back to school seems to come earlier and earlier.  This article from MSN examines what some parents are trying to do about the earlier start schedule.
