It seems like only yesterday reality television came into my life, but the first episode of The Real World aired back in 1992. That was 16 years ago! (Jaw drop.)

I was just a young pup back then. I don’t even want to hear they are on their 21st season right now. Clearly, reality television is not just a fad like many people believed it would be. The popularity of “Reality TV” isn’t something you can ignore anymore.

Luckily, reality programming has come a long way since it’s origin (i.e. COPS). Since then, there have been oodles and oodles of what can be considered “reality.” Ranging from competition to lose weight, to people sitting around a house staring at each other until someone gets on someone else’s nerves. It’s out there, not all of it pretty.

What I find entertaining is anything “reality” on Bravo Television. I was first captivated by Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Then, Boy Meets Boy was too good to pass up. Then, the door opened wide and brought the mecca of captivating reality television programming. Shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, Kathy Griffin: Life on the D-List, just to name a few, aired. I was hooked.
