It seems like months since we’ve seen a new episode of Glee. Probably because it has been months since we’ve seen a new episode of Glee! But Rachel, Finn, Mr. Schuester and the rest of the gang will be back with new songs, new relationships, new laughs and new drama on Tuesday, April 13.
Since we last saw our musical friends from McKinley High, much has happened. (And I’m not talking about the Olympics!) Here are a few tidbits about my favorite show choir show – and yours (right?):
- Molly Shannon, Idina Menzel and Neil Patrick Harris are just a few of the guest stars we’ll see this spring.
- Glee’s Facebook page announced it yesterday: the executive producers of Glee are holding a nationwide casting call for new performers to join the show’s second season. Between now and April 26, you can submit your audition vide on MySpace.
- You still have two weeks to prepare for the second half of Glee’s season. You can buy the first 13 episodes (affiliate link) or watch the last four episodes online.
- And don’t forget the previews. Here’s a look at what’s coming up on Glee.
- Last, but not least, if you can’t wait until April 13 to see the next new episode, you can buy a ticket to see a preview screening in cities like New York, Nashville and Seattle before it airs. Proceeds from tickets will benefit the Grammy Foundation’s music education programs. More information (and cities) at Tickets for Charity.
Oh yeah, one more thing: That ridiculously HUGE trophy that the Glee Club wins at sectionals? It’s actually pretty realistic. My brother accompanies a high school show choir, and they compete all over the place (most recently at Show Choir Nationals, not that I’m bragging or anything). And they TOTALLY got a trophy that big! Crazy, right?
Will you be watching on April 13 (or at a preview screening beforehand?!) to see what happens with Will and Emma, Will and his wife, Finn and Quinn, Finn and Rachael, and all the other Glee kids? Are you looking forward to the return of Glee?
