There are some great movies coming to DVD this week, and here are just a couple.

What Happens in Vegas is the story of Jack, who after his father cans him from the family furniture business and Joy, who is dumped by her fiancé, head to Vegas to cut loose. The two end up spending an alcohol induced night together only to wake up the next morning married to each other. Prior to heading off for a quickie annulment, Jack decides to throw a coin into a slot machine and ends up winning a cool three million. This causes a bit of an issue with getting the annulment since they both feel they are entitled to the money. A judge tells the couple that they must try and make the marriage work before he is willing to grant their annulment. The movie follows the couple’s attempts to see if their misadventure was really a foray into something that could be permanent. The movie is rated PG-13 and lasts 99 minutes.

An oldie but a goodie, The Nightmare Before Christmas is being released on DVD today. The movie has some amazing graphics, but a storyline that might not be suitable for younger children. Tim Burton hit one out of he park with this tale of The Pumpkin King wanting to take Christmas and make it his own. The movie is rated PG for mild violence and lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.
I found this great pizza recipes over at allrecipes.com.
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1/2 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
4 (10 inch) flour tortillas
1/2 cup salsa
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 green onions, chopped
2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeno peppers
1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat 2 pie plates with non-stick cooking spray.
Place beef, onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until beef is evenly browned. Drain off grease. Season the meat with chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper.
Lay one tortilla in each pie plate, and cover with a layer of refried beans. Spread half of the seasoned ground beef over each one, and then cover with a second tortilla. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
Remove the plates from the oven, and let cool slightly. Spread half of the salsa over each top tortilla. Cover each pizza with half of the Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Place half of the tomatoes, half of the green onions, and half of the jalapeno slices onto each one.
Return the pizzas to the oven, and bake for 5 to 10 more minutes, until the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven, and let cool slightly before slicing each one into 4 pieces.
Yum yum and the perfect treat for your at home movie night. Enjoy!
