I can’t wait to start singing and dancing and maybe even puttin’ on the Ritz a little bit.

The Synopsis
Will challenges the kids to a mashup showdown, with the boys taking on the girls. Terri takes a job as school nurse to keep an eye on Will, despite the fact that she has no health care training. (Fox.com)
The Soundtrack
Boys: It’s My Life (Bon Jovi) and Confessions (Usher)
Girls: Halo (Beyonce) and Walking on Sunshine (Katrina & The Waves)
The Quotes
- We’re dealing with children. They need to be terrified. It’s like mother’s milk to them. Without it, their bones won’t grow.
- I don’t understand how lightning is in competition with an above-ground swimming pool.
- And without those endorsements I won’t be able to buy my hovercraft.
- I don’t know how important people like presidents and newscasters and mob bosses do it.
- They’re over the counter. They stock them next to the candy bars.
- Can we talk frank? [I don’t know why this cracked me up, but, oh, it did.]
- See, I’m not built to work five days a week.
- A lot of ants on the sidewalk today. / Pretty late in the season for that.
- This is not an engagement ring. / Oh, thank goodness.
- Because if there’s two things America needs right now it’s sunshine and optimism. And, also, angels.
- Can you think of any other options I might have? / Is that a good reason to marry someone? / That’s not what I’m asking.
- I can’t stay long in this room because of the germs . . . and the odor.
- That’s actually a better deal than I expected.
- I never told Howard to get them all at one place.
The Feedback
- I like the recaps at the beginning of each episode. They keep them short, but it’s enough to bring you up to speed.
- Kurt going to the girls’ side for the mashup contest was funny. “Though I’ve been grouped with the boys, my allegiance lies with you ladies.”
- I’m so glad Sue was back this week. Writing in her journal was hilarious! “Am I missing something, journal? Is it me?”
- Oh my. Sue tripped an old lady and put her in a coma! That might be too much.
- Interesting that Quinn tried to extort money from Terri. Did you think she dropped it a little too easily? Wonder if it will come up again . . .
- I liked the commentary on students being overly busy. But really, Will? You didn’t notice your kids were on speed?
- I really like how Rachel is evolving into someone a little less selfish. That’s nice.
- Artie was awesome in the boys’ performance. Although, still, I wish they weren’t lip synching.
- As for the Terri-Will-Emma triangle, I just don’t know about this. As a wife and, you know, someone who’s anti-cheating in general, I really want to root for Terri to save her marriage. But she is just so darn unlikable! What do you all think about this part of the show?
