Now that Glee has taken a hiatus until April (I KNOW!), those clever folks at Fox (or whoever’s in charge) are hoping you’ll get your fix with the Glee soundtrack albums.
I don’t know about you, but I’m all over that.
Glee: The Music, volume one, was released during the World Series, and earlier this month, Glee: The Music, volume two, was released as well. You can buy both at Amazon, and for less than $10 a piece (for more than 30 songs?!), this duo makes a perfect stocking stuffer.
(In case you’re listening, Santa.)
Here’s the list of songs on Volume Two:
- Proud Mary
- Endless Love
- I’ll Stand By You
- Don’t Stand So Close To Me / Young Girl
- Crush
- (You’re) Having My Baby
- Lean On Me
- Don’t Make Me Over
- Imagine
- True Colors
- Jump
- Smile (Cover Of Lily Allen Song)
- Smile (Cover Of Charlie Chaplin Song)
- And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going
- Don’t Rain On My Parade
- You Can’t Always Get What You Want
- My Life Would Suck Without You
But wait – that’s not all! The Glee case recorded Wham’s Last Christmas, the “classic holiday tune,” according to the press release. You can buy this bonus holiday track on iTunes, and portions of the proceeds will benefit the Grammy Foundation’s Grammy in the Schools education programs.
All right, take another look at that list. I did not love Paul Anka, even done Finn-style, but I love, love, love Lean on Me. And Crush is one of my guilty pleasure favorites anyway, so a Glee version is even better. What’s your favorite track?
