The Synopsis
Will responds to a rumor about the glee kids that has spread around McKinley High. Meanwhile, Sue is embarrassed by a video of her performing the Olivia Newton-John song “Physical.” Newton-John has a cameo as herself.
The Soundtrack
- Ice, Ice Baby (Vanilla Ice)
- U Can’t Touch This (M.C. Hammer)
- Let’s Get Physical (Olivia Newton-John)
- Run, Joey, Run! (David Geddes)
- Total Eclipse of the Heart (Bonnie Tyler)
The Quotes
- And as soon as I figure out the difference between libel and slander, I’m filing a lawsuit.
- I’m a delinquent, sure. I like setting things on fire and beating up people I don’t know. But I own that. I’m not liar.
- This is not happening. The slow motion laughing is just your imagination.
- You’re a slut, Will.
- I’m kind of getting cold feet here. // Can you even feel your feet?
- That was very cute. I’m going to talk to my pastor and see if I can’t get you kids to perform that for our Sunday service.
- Why does everyone always assume I’m angry all the time? It’s called being sassy, Mr. Schu.
- We’re as menacing as Muppet Babies.
- It’s Olivia Newton-John, star of Grease, the most successful musical of all time?
- I’m heading to a ribbon-cutting for a sanctuary for orphaned koalas.
- You’re a really good teacher, even if everyone’s calling you a man-whore.
- I’m still praying for you, Will.
My Thoughts
- How good does Will look in his white button-up with rolled up shirtsleeves?
- I’m glad to see Quinn wearing a maternity shirt and looking, you know, pregnant.
- Is Molly Shannon a new recurring character? I hope she gets more to do than this.
- Kurt’s red sweater and white pants outfit is awful.
- Did she just say “pork”? Ugh.
- Oh, nice. Rachel used all three of them. I like the way she did that, even if they didn’t.
- And look, a return of Sandy, the former Glee teacher.
- Puck is definitely my favorite Joey.
What did you think about this episode? I liked Emma growing a backbone and sticking with it. I didn’t love the Olivia Newton-John bit, especially so soon after Vogue. And what a waste of Molly Shannon! BUT – Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer in one episode? I can’t complain about that!
