The Soundbites
- You’re like a toddler with a loose lid on a sippy cup: no more juice.
- Because there’s never an excuse for stirrup pants!
- So you like show tunes. That doesn’t mean you’re gay! That just means you’re awful!
- Sure, but I gotta be honest: it’s pretty much what every Mellencamp song is about.
- I’m not a box. There are more than four sides to me.
- That was some serious singing, kid.
- I have no idea what that song was about, but fine don’t sing like you just sung.
The Commentary
- Really? Would Kurt’s dad really be that insensitive? (Okay,) he redeemed himself later.
- So for Rachel, laryngitis doesn’t mean she can’t talk; it means she can’t sing?
- Jessie’s Girl was a little too much. Also, I don’t think Finn would really call Jesse “a good friend of mine.”
- Mercedes’ reactions to Puck cracked me up! However, why don’t we have more Puck and less Finn??
- I’m not sure which couple makes me more uncomfortable: Mercedes and Puck or Kurt and Brittany.
- I wish I could have enjoyed Santana’s first real solo in a less lip-synch-y way.
- AHEM. I don’t believe U2’s One is considered “classic rock”! Or maybe I’m older than I thought . . .
What did you think about this episode? Did you buy the fight between Mercedes and Santana? And how excited are you for Neil Patrick Harris in next week’s episode?
