- Like a Virgin
- 4 Minutes
- What It Feels Like for a Girl
- Like a Prayer
The Quotes
- Do you not understand the blackmail process and how it works?
- Would you please stop talking? You’re grossing out my baby.
- I meant for me, okay? It’s win/win for me.
- You have all the sensuality of one of those pandas down at the zoo who refuse to mate.
- Enough with the hair jokes. Oh, by the way, how’s the Florence Henderson look working?
- My parents were famous Nazi-hunters, so they weren’t around a lot.
- You deserve romance – no, epic romance.
- Do you mean that or are you just saying that because I poked a couple of kids’ eyes out in the hall?
- I don’t feel anything, because it didn’t mean anything.
- Dep is a hair gel. And once again, I am making fun of your incredibly stupid hairdo.
- Objectifying – that’s the right word, right, Mr. Schue?
My Thoughts
- The stilts look ridiculous on the Cheerios, but the girls were pretty impressive walking on them!
- I liked how Quinn and Mercedes got solos in Express Yourself. Rachel’s awesome, but she’s not the only one who can sing. [Note: I wrote this before the Glee kids mentioned it themselves when Jesse joined the group.]
- Really nice harmonies in Rachel and Finn’s duet.
- Loved Mr. Schuester’s “Oh, snap!” So ridiculous, but still so funny.
- Why do I feel so uncomfortable with Sue acting sexy in Vogue? I think it’s because even though she was acting completely different, Jane Lynch stayed in character – beautiful, awkward character.
- Awww, Rachel and Finn’s faces before the Like a Virgin number made me so sad.
- Interesting that Rachel lied about having sex, while Finn lied about not. Hmmm…
- What a novel thought, Will, waiting to date until after the divorce is final.
- How CUTE was Kurt performing the heck out of 4 Minutes?
- How cute are Artie and Tina? A-dor-able.
So, what do you think? Did it live up to the hype? Will you buy the episode soundtrack?

I LOVED Kurt in the Vogue video. And I kind of loved Sue, too. That was by far my favorite part.
I do wish they’d spread out the singing more. I think ALL those kids (ha! “kids” older than me) can sing the heck out of any song and I’d like to hear someone besides Rachel.
I thought the episode was a little ridiculous. But it had shining moments.
I love your blog. I just read that Madonna announced she is giving music a rest, saying she doesn’t have the “time or energy” to sing. Interesting! What do you think about that?
Glenn, I think this is temporarily and Madonna will be back on the stage very soon.
