Graffiti6 released their latest Free EP today, available now on iTunes. The seven-track set includes two versions of the first single and title track “Free” along with stripped versions of “Lay Me Down,” “Annie You Save Me” and “Stone In My Heart,” a cover of Fleet Foxes “Blue Ridge Mountains” and a brand new song “Foxes.” The EP is available now for streaming on Spotify and streaming this week-only on AOL Music.
Graffiti6 has also announced that they will spend December on the road as support for Latin singer-songwriter Ximena on her U.S tour. The trek starts Dec. 5th in Birmingham, Al at Workplay and runs through Dec. 22nd at Schubas in Chicago, IL. Graffiti6 will also play at the Cosmopolitan Hotel Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st.
“Free,” an emotional, soulful song about breaking out of a relationship that has come to an end but hard to walk away from, is Graffiti6’s first U.S. radio single. The video which was shot in downtown Los Angeles will premiere in the next few weeks. A stripped down version is available online now in which Jamie Scott performs the song solo and acoustic with one mic, one camera and in one take.
Graffiti6 is a collaboration between British singer-songwriter Jamie Scott and songwriter-producer TommyD whose sound is an uncategorizable mélange of pop, psychedelia, R&B, and British Northern Soul that fully capitalizes on the soaring uplift of Scott’s emotionally transparent voice and gift for melody and TommyD’s irresistible rhythms and inventive production. They’ve spent the last few months back and forth between the U.S. and Europe playing shows and festivals as they prepare for the early 2012 release of their debut album ‘Colours’. Graffiti6 have had their songs played on popular TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Covert Affairs, CSI: NY, One Tree Hill, and MTV series Teen Wolf. MTV has also featured the group in its Freshmen 5, Artist to Watch, and Push campaigns.
