It’s a rare day when you answer the phone and hear “hi Linda, this is Molly” and the Molly is none other than actress/ comedienne Molly Shannon!  I had a fun chat with her about life, motherhood and her role as spokesperson (so appropriately chosen) for Centrum, and the America’s Most Amazingly Energized Woman Contest.

Molly in Promises Promises

Molly is an on the go mom and busy professional, just having finished a part in the Broadway musical Promises Promises.  A fan of a healthy lifestyle she runs to keep herself in shape.  Molly and her family are also enjoying a new puppy and cat, and one of her favorite family activities is going outside with the kids to play with the dog.

What struck me most about Molly was her down to earth nature and how nice she was on the phone – saying ‘hi’ to my daughter, asking about my kids.  Just like two gals chatting away, except that one was MOLLY SHANNON!

She feels that “moms are too hard on themselves these days”, striving to be everything to everyone.  You won’t find Molly slaving over a kitchen stove and she has recently discovered the joys of the slow cooker to prepare healthy recipes that don’t take too much time to prepare.  She also is a fan of not depriving yourself of the foods you love, and knows that moderation is key to a healthy lifestyle.
