Here we are on episode two and the tension amongst the women is palpable. It’s move in day at the house and the girls are ready to get moving along with Jason.
Jason surprises the girls while they sunbathe in bikinis, without makeup, and (gasp!) hair up! I think it was very gentlemanly that Jason approaches Megan, who was outed last show as the least liked contestant by the other women, and asks if she’s okay despite the announcement. He definately appreciates that she too is a mom and is different than some of the other young girls.
After a cheesy slo-mo shirt removal, Jason takes a dip and engages in some chicken-fighting with hot-dog girl Jillian. Jillian is really a strong candidate and has made the most real connection with Jason yet.
*enter the needle scratching of the record…..*
Here comes Shannon. Kept around because I feel ABC just loves some good insane drama, Shannon continues to prove she is indeed president of Stalkers Anonymous. Claiming yet again she is ready to be a mom, Jason probably is thinking, “I don’t remember asking if you were,” but I think he is flattered somehow by her confidence. My hubby has nick-named her Sha-NO-NO.
Two women, Melissa and Jillian both received one-on-one dates that led to lip locks that would make Hugh Hefner blush. Why must the cameras zoom in so close during this intimately awkward moments? Blimp rides and personal concerts with Robin Thicke…how normal for a first date. Sigh.
We learn later on the group date that Molly‘s secret talent is kissing, and lucky for her, Jason enjoys cold sores making out with a little of everyone. This proves wrong for Nikki (the one with the enormous…heart) who claims that kissing is very serious. She turns a bit sour and angry at this point and I fear she’s lost her chance.
Jason heads back to his place after a long night to find Racquel awaiting him in the limo. Surprised, he’s caught off guard by her angry tone and plea to stick around.
Erika is on thin ice, she is really a heavy drinker and her behavior, as a result, becomes very catty.
Finally, Jason gets some one on one time with Stephanie. Stephanie lost her partner in a plane crash when her daughter was 10 weeks old. A Southern Belle, Stephanie isn’t an immediate match with Jason in my eyes, but she has made an impact with him that seems honest.
Final 12 ladies are Megan, Nikki, Lauren, Molly, Jillian, Melissa, Naomi, Stephanie, Kari, Natalie, Shannon, and Erika.
The overall tone of the show was one of uneasiness, which is totally understandable. Have these girls really thought through the process of 25-15-12 girls dating one man all at once?! Did they think it would be easy? Luckily for us, they haven’t a clue!
