This week’s episode has the final five ladies packing up their belongings and moving out of the bachelorette house. Where are they headed? Seattle, hometown to Jason, and the city where one of the five will plan to settle down and start their future with the bachelor and his son.
As Jason arrives back home, he greets Ty with a hug that exudes pure love between a father and his son. These moments, however corny, always strike a chord with me. This show has a deeper meaning for the word “reality.” Ty belongs to Jason and is his number one priority, this is more than a game to both of them, whether the ladies understand the depth of it or not!

The five girls, Melissa, Stephanie, Naomi, Molly, and Jillian find their way into their suite in a local hotel and learn there will be 2 one-on-one dates, and one group date. No single roses to give out, one lady going home.
Melissa is chosen for the first one-on-one date. The others are visibly jealous, especially Naomi, who has yet to have alone time with Jason. Melissa awaits her date, a trip to the Space Needle, dinner, and a waterfall, but Jason doesn’t show. Time ticks by and she begins to worry, thinking she’s been stood up.
Meanwhile, back at Jason’s house, we see a reluctant Ty. Having just met up with daddy, Ty is hesitant to let him out of his sight. Jason is in a pickle, but ultimately chooses Ty and his best interests, the date is called off. But, not all together. Melissa is invited back to Jason’s house for a low-key date. Melissa is relieved as the 4 other ladies, envious that she might meet Ty, crank up their jealousy even more! Even after reaching Jason’s house, Melissa’s wait is longer, but worth it as Jason takes her up to sneak a peek at the sleeping, Ty. Jason says to the camera at one point, “I’m not ready for anyone to meet Ty yet” and he’s followed through. Sparks continue to fly between the couple, even on this fantasy-turned-reality date, points for Melissa!!
The group date is next up which includes Molly, Jillian, and Stephanie and a boat cruise. Stephanie gets singled out for some alone time as Jason takes her to the captain’s quarters. While steering the boat, Stephanie and Jason talk about Sophia, her 4 year old daughter, and his eyes just sparkle at her. Their bond is strong as two single parents, and since last episode’s Cinderella date, it seems the two are making a romantic turn in their relationship!
Later, the group heads to a local radio station. Jason is first interviewed by the hosts alone in a soundproof room. Not hearing what he’s saying the girls tease about what’s being asked. Molly, who seems less mature to me this episode, claims Jason is saying, “Molly, she will be my wife.” Actually, Jason tells the hosts that his favorite date so far has been with Stephanie, but Molly is the best kisser!
Next they put Jason up to a guess-who’s-kissing-me contest, which Jason is blindfolded with a feather boa, and gets approached by each lady. Guessing right on all counts, the discussion then leads to the ladies’ take on what they enjoy in the bedroom. We learn that Jillian is all about fun then intimacy, Molly loves lingerie, and Stephanie is all about kissing every body part, and loving on her man.
Naomi and Jason’s one-on-one date approaches and they head on a helicopter ride then end up at what looks like R.E.I sporting goods. There the couple tackle a huge in-store rock-climbing wall. Giggling and kissing all the way up and down, the playfulness of Naomi comes out. She is finally able to relax and enjoy the time with Jason away from the other girls. The couple sits by a fire sipping hot chocolate and enjoying fondue and Naomi opens up to Jason. She tells him that her parents are divorced, her mom fell out of love with her dad, but later in the conversation says she’s a lot like her mom. I think Jason took this seriously thinking that he has been divorced, what would keep Naomi from thinking it was a way out of a marriage. The conversation led to her hoping to one day “adopt” and I felt an uneasiness between Jason and Naomi, though she seemed to be on cloud nine.
Heading into the rose ceremony, Jason needs to take Jillian for a walk and discuss with her about her true intentions. Jillian had been strong as an ox the whole season, enjoying her time, having fun with it all. But, she even admitted that this far into the game, she has found that Jason means alot to her, she has true feelings for him, and it’s hard not to get caught up with the other budding relationships. I enjoyed seeing Jillian turn this way and prove that she really cares for Jason and this is what she wants.
Just before handing out the first rose, Naomi is asked to chat. Clarifying that continuing in the game, means heading for a life with Jason AND Ty, Jason asks if this is what Naomi really wants. Jason’s been hurt before by DeAnna (yes, we know) and he doesn’t want anyone to be unsure.
In the end the final roses go to Jillian, Melissa, Molly, and Naomi. Jason tells Stephanie in front of all the ladies how special she is and everyone is in tears. Stephanie is so graceful and composed, I just wanted to hug her!!

Next week, Jason will be visiting the girl’s in their hometowns, with a preview of Melissa tell Jason her parents weren’t up to the public attention of the show. Dun dun dunnnn! Stay tuned!

Great job recapping! If I hadn’t watched it…I would have
seen it in my head!
I know I should have more important things to worry about than the bachelor…ha ha! but I thought DeAnna was coming back? And hello it’s down to 4 girls…??? Once again Chris Harrison has led us astray!! haha!
Did you take a picture of your tv with Stephenie on it?? Because I couldn’t find a candid shot of her to save my soul! I wanted to hug her too.
