Love her or hate her, Nicole Kidman, age 41, has finally given birth. Today, the star continued her sojourn in the ranks of motherhood by giving birth to a baby girl. According to various sources, the girl has been named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. Nicole’s husband, country music star Keith Urban, age 40, is the happy father.
Baby Sunday weighed in at 6 lbs and 7 1/2 ounces.
Kidman has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise. This is her first child with current husband, Keith Urban. Urban carried home a Grammy in 2006 for best male vocalist.
Do you like the name Sunday for a baby? I like it. Of course, I also like the name Wednesday. But I could never name a child Monday. For me, it’s the worst day of the week. What are some of the craziest celebrity baby names that you have heard?
(Edit by Shamelessly Sassy: If you read this article earlier when it said ‘entered the ranks of motherhood’, that was in no way, form, or fashion an implication that giving birth defined motherhood. To be honest, I had forgotten until later on in the post about her two adopted children. It was simply a mistake. I’m sorry if you somehow found that portion offensive. It has since been changed. Thanks.)

I’ve always liked the name Seven that George Costanza wanted. Just sounds neat to me. I do like Wednesday, and Sunday is pretty. I also like Tuesday.
I cannot believe she gave birth…that had to have been the smallest bump in the world.
I’m not crazy about the name Sunday and I dislike the name Wednesday even more. I must be really old fashioned because I like traditional names. The craziest names we ever considered for any of our kids were Brady and Tristan for our oldest son. We went with something even more traditional.
good comment kim. that sentence upset me too- she was already a mother!
“entered the ranks of motherhood”? She has two other children – she’s a veteran. Giving birth isn’t the defining quality of being a mother.
Kim & Mandy- That sentence wasn’t intentional. I had forgotten about her two other children until I was further on in the post, and I forgot to change it. I was in no way implying that her finally giving birth meant that she had entered the ranks of motherhood. It was a simple mistake.
I think Sunday is a kind of pretty name, I like it a lot better than Suri. I would never name my child something like that though because I prefer much more traditional names. She did have the smallest bump ever. It just did not seem natural.
Congratulation nicole! I”m not really like the girl name but whatever.
