You see that guy in the middle? ‘Memba him? It’s Chris Kirkpatrick from N’Sync! It’s okay, I’ll give you a moment to calm down, because I got pretty excited, too. Maybe it’s weird of me, but I like to follow the guys from “boy bands” I was a fan of back in the day. And Chris Kirkpatrick has had one heck of a ride. You can Google the details, the important part is that he’s part of a pretty awesome band called Nigels11.

The group isn’t just about Chris, though he’s a fabulous bonus. Comprised of Mike Bosch on guitar, Dave Carreiro on bass, and Ernie Longoria on drums, Chris seems to have founds himself some very talented band mates. Nigels11 has been quite a while in the making, and their dedicated Street Team will tell you that the release of the “Clandestine Operation” EP has everyone thrilled.

What will I tell you? I think it’s a very solid effort. Definitely not what I was expecting. Everyone, of course, when hearing the name Chris Kirkpatrick, will automatically think straight up synthesized pop music. And this EP certainly has a sweet-to-swallow pop vibe, deftly mixed with a core of rock.

• Mr. Jealousy

My favorite track? It’s a big tie between “Who Am I” and “Get Out.” The first is a surprisingly powerful and heartfelt track, while “Get Out” is one that I could definitely see myself keeping on repeat for a whole day without getting tired of hearing it.
