Born in the USA !

Michael Phelps has spent a lot of time in the water cube.  There have been 20 world record swimming times and seven of them have been his.  Yesterday, he surpassed Mark Spitz and now has 8 gold medals in one Olympic game. His mother has to return to Baltimore as a principal of a middle school.

The US men’s gymnastic team won a medal.

Are you wondering what the black design on US volleyball player Kerri Walshes shoulder is?  It’s medical tape. Also, after Kerri lost her wedding ring playing for the gold, volunteers found her ring that had flung off her hand & landed in the sand on the other side of the net.

The Chinese are ahead in gold medal count.  As of yesterday the US was ahead by one in total medal count.

This week is more track & field.  Then the closing ceremony is Sunday evening.
