I received the Roku digital player last year, and it has been one of my favorite items that I’ve reviewed.  We (and by we I mean my kids) watch a lot of movies, and are regular Netflix users.  We just are not a fan (and by not a fan I mean we are too lazy to send them back) of the mailing part.

The Roku has made us happy.  You can stream anytime your Netflix downloaded movies (works with Amazon too) and watch at your leisure.  In the past we had used the X-Box, but that meant moving it from basement to den.

Now Netflix has it’s own dedicated device and I can watch my movies too.

The player is only $99 and Netflix subscriptions start at $8.99/month.  Still thinking about what that big gift should be?  The Roku…movies when you want them where you want them.
