I know, I feel your pain ladies. You are slaving away, cleaning the house, cooking the piggies in a blanket for Superbowl Sunday and all he has to do is make sure the drinks are on ice. Oh, what? He forgot the ice?
Take back the TV when the hot wings are gone and the cans have been recycled and the dog has calmed down from the stress of too many screaming armchair quarterbacks. Showtime hears you…they are on a quest to become the new Kings of Premium Cable.
Showtime is going social to step up efforts to challenge HBO. A dynamic new website aimed at engaging established fans as well as hooking new ones has just launched at www.joinshowtime.com.
There you can stream trailers, clips and even full episodes of Showtime favorites like Californication and Weeds (not to mention newcomer United States of Tara), as well as take an “entertainment personality quiz” to determine which Showtime shows are the best match for you. Other features include a “Sho-off” section for super fans, RSS feeds for top programming and links to Showtime’s other new social networks around the web on Facebook, Flickr and YouTube which have all incorporated the “Join Showtime” campaign.
And to launch their new site they are showering Buzz readers with 2 awesome prize packs containing some of their hit series DVD’s…I KNOW!! Take back the TV with these great series!

I visited http://www.joinshowtime.com – my two fav series are the Tudors and United States of Tara. Wonderful shows for different reasons. Tudors is just hot lol and a good story. United States of Tara is absolutely hilarious – I have everyone I know buzzing about that series.
