Today is one of those rare days in the desert of Nevada. Balmy temperatures, sunshine, peace and quiet – something we’re certainly not used to in an environment of extremes. It invokes the kind of laid back attitude that makes you want to lay back in the grass, picking out pictures in the clouds and – in our special living-on-an-airbase situation – watching the jets fly overhead.

Miranda Lambert’s “Airstream Song” is to me, the perfect song for a day like today. We’re being loungebugs and have spent most of our day either running leisurely errands or laying around in the yard. I also have a bit of a soft spot for “Airstream Song,” which talks about living in an Airstream trailer and being constantly on the go.

Maybe we should go get an Airstream trailer – it would certainly make transferring from base to base much easier!
