Taylor Swift

Eighteen year old singer-songwriter Taylor Swift recently received her high school diploma.  The young star’s album has sold over 3 million copies and has hits such as ‘Teardrops on my Guitar’, ‘Our Song’, and ‘Picture to Burn’. Right now, she is on tour with Rascal Flatts.  Have to give a girl a hand for continuing her education while focusing on her thriving career.  Swift is said to have a new album coming out in the Fall after she finishes the tour. If you’ve never seen Swift perform, this 2008 ACM awards show performance of ‘Should’ve said No’ is a must see.

Shia LaBeouf

In other news, actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving on Sunday around 3 a.m. after being involved in a car accident in L.A. You might recognize LaBeouf from the recently released Indiana Jones movie. However, I recognize him from his run on Disney’s Even Stevens. LaBeouf, 22, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and treated for hand and knee injuries.  Also, his passenger, an unidentified female is said to not be seriously injured.

Martie Maguire

Lastly, Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks has welcomed her third child, a daughter.  Martie and her husband named the little girl Harper Rosie Maguire. The couple also has a set of twin daughters who were born in 2004.  The newest addition was born in Austin, TX and weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
