ABC/MATT KLITSCHER
Rumors have been floating around the internet regarding the unbelievable ending to this season’s drama, and as much as I wanted to avoid it, I read them and believed it all. Hoping…praying…for a different conclusion, I went into the show with a positive attitude and *fingers crossed.*
Melissa is first to meet up with Jason and prepare to meet Ty. Her relaxed attitude and jokes makes for an instant chemistry when she encounters the little guy. Meeting the parents was slightly different. As expected, Jason’s family were all hesitant to connect to Melissa. It read all over their face that they have been hurt before by his ex-wife, and by DeAnna last year. Taking turns taking digs, they grilled Melissa about the fact that her parents hadn’t met her potential husband. This weighs on Melissa greatly and she later calls her parents and they agree to take a call from Jason and “meet” him that way. In a big step, Jason does call them and has a very successful conversation, thing look good for Mel!
Molly’s time to meet Ty was less than thrilling for him. As kids tend to do, he failed to interact with her for a while, tensing Molly. It was a shame that Jason had to even give her the play by play on how to interact with a young child, she clearly has no clue. Taking the date into her own hands, Molly later pulls Jason into her personal massage parlor and goes all Cinemax on him, similar to the Jillian-hot tub scene a few episodes ago. I can’t get past her telling Jason all the things he wants to hear with such a lack of feeling to it. She has said she isn’t good with words, so she presents Jason with a scrapbook of her love for him.
DeAnna finally shows up and tells Jason she chose the wrong man. In a effort to keep from laughing in her face, Jason tells her he’s in love with 2 other women, thanks but no thanks D! It was such a disgusting way for ABC to get her back into the spotlight. So planned and so annoying.
Again, knowing what I had read in the spoilers, as the final rose ceremony approached, I was in tears seeing Jason dress Ty up in a tuxedo. Please don’t involve him in this right now. Not yet. URG!
Molly is the first out of the limo. You know in past shows, first girl out is getting dumped. Looking like she hadn’t done her hair from the massage-night-before, Molly is rejected and please with him, “you are making a mistake!” Enter the waterworks…BOTH of them.
What seems like hours later, Jason stops crying and here comes Melissa down the path. Looking like an angel he tells her finally that he loves her and she giggles happily. Down on his knee he proposes followed by a lot more “I love yous” and the final rose. Back at the house he and Melissa are joined by little Ty by the pool and they all jump in clothes-on!
Happy Ending?! I’ll be back with the STUNNING After The Final Rose news!

That does it; Jason is a meeper. I can’t really articulate that (it’s a family word). Just trust me that it’s not good. Loser.
