My husband has been waiting for this moment…someone leaving the Bachelorette, even after receiving a rose! After the controversy last week on whether someone has a girlfriend or not, could this new relevation be related, or did Ed really leave because he was threatened to be fired?! *ponder while I backtrack a little bit.*
One of my new favorite contestants, Michael-the-breakdancer, gets the first one-on-one date with Jillian this week. I’m am rooting for him, maybe because he has the energy and cuteness of my 8-year-old son, but nonetheless he seems so genuine, albeit immature. The couple go zip-lining and Jillian comments that “he makes me feel 19 again, and I want to feel 19 forever!” Will this be enough for the longhaul? Jillian and Micheal share a friendly kiss after dinner…and he gets the date rose.
I’m getting back to Ed…soon!
The group date takes Jilly and the boys snowboarding, where Robby is invited to ride with the Bachelorette. Robby continues to make an impact on Jillian but the men feel there is no chemistry apparent. Tanner P finds time to continue the going-nowhere conversation about the mysterious man with a girlfriend. Wasting time is what he’s doing. I can’t figure out why he’s being kept around, plus he hasn’t seen her feet in all this snow! Wes finally admits on camera, to Jillian, and to the men that he’s getting more publicity by being on TV sure, he has a new CD coming out, yes, but does he really want to win? Jillian is head-over-heels mad for him, I don’t think she’d believe anyone if it was really him that has a girlfriend!
Another result of too much drinking has Jillian completely giddy and goofy talking to Kiptyn. She says to him, while he’s in mid-conversation, “I like you, do you like me?” Her glazed look doesn’t stop him from kissing her passionately.
Okay, on to Ed. After being very, very quiet and Jillian noticing, he admits that he’d had a serious phone call. From his boss. Get back to work or be fired was simply what was happening. Jillian gives Ed the date rose in hopes that he realizes that he is a contender and she doesn’t want him to leave. He accepts. Unfortunately, the next day they meet and he tells her, “I have to leave.” In tears, she allows him to keep the rose (foreshadowing?) at his request. Do you believe it? Or is he the one with a girlfriend at home and is using this for an excuse?!
After a date-of-a-lifetime, Jesse and Jillian leave the desolate glacier and head to dinner and hot tubbing. The sparks fly and Jillian admits to Jesse that she would move to her man’s hometown when the show was over (Jesse is from Carmel Valley, CA).
The final 8 men are, Jesse, Michael, Kiptyn, Jake, Tanner P, Reid, Robby, and Wes.
Come on, tell me what you think!

I was watching the other night as well, I also wondered if Ed was the man with the girlfriend when he suddenly came up with the ” I am going to be fired” excuse. I also was kind of like.. Well if he doesn’t want to be here, then let him go already… Jillian was a lot more emotional about him leaving then I thought she would be. Maybe he was the one.. Then speak up girlie and let him know you want HIM!!!
I keep saying I am never watching again.. but I keep coming back.
Enjoy!
They actually went snowmobiling not snowboarding.
Snowboarding is what DeAnna’s ex-fiance Jesse does for a living.
Thanks for the edit Ker. You really can’t ride together on a snowboard, oops!
I bet we haven’t seen the last of Ed.
I totally agree she was tipsy!!!
