In a joint decision made by 24’s star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland, executive producer and showrunner Howard Gordon, Twentieth Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment and Fox Broadcasting Company, it was determined that the acclaimed series will end its remarkable eight-season run. - FOX Broadcasting Company
Day 8, this season of 24, is set in a new location New York City (instead of Los Angeles) amidst negotiations between the United States President and a determined Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. And of course the day starts out with Jack Bauer not wanting to have anything to do with being an agent of the government, his only interests are relaxing and getting to know his granddaughter. But that plot is quickly ended by a news report on television about mideast peace negotiations.
Fast forward 13 hours later – if you haven’t watched this season you really must catch up you can watch all episodes online – 4:00am – 5:00am, was shocking to say the least. I knew Dana was a little off-center, but working with the terrorists? Holy moly that was definitely a major curve ball I wasn’t expecting. But, then again, I should have expected anything to happen – this show definitely has it’s twists.
This season of 24 we have been introduced to a lot of new cast members including Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Scooby Doo), Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) and Mykelti Williamson (Forrest Gump.) Great cast and I’m sad it will be their last season.
NBC has been rumored to be thinking about bringing the show to their network instead. Also, there is possibly a 24 Film is coming up next from the creators.
