Your camera is a valuable commodity and you want a way to safely transport it that is stylish, versatile and durable. You want it to have quality housing that doesn’t cost more than you paid for it. The Crumpler Five Million Dollar Home fits those requirements and more!
I’ve been using this bag for a couple of months and I’m really enjoying it! It’s the perfect size for my Canon Rebel DSLR plus two more lenses. The website indicates that this bag is, “suitable for a compact digital SLR & ‘twin lens kit’, external flash unit and basic accessories.” It also has a zippered pocket in the top flap that I use for holding my extra battery, USB cord and other small essentials. There is also a pocket on the front of the bag (the part the gets covered by the flap) that has come in handy for carrying driver’s license, credit card, keys, cell phone, lip gloss, etc.
I’ve taken the bag on airplanes as my carry-on item and I even took it to the beach recently. It has held up remarkably well and has become my constant companion. The strap on it is quite long and can be adjusted for across the body wearing or on the shoulder wearing.
There are two ways that you can secure the flap:
- You can close it with adjustable snaps.
- You can use the very stout velcro patches. Those are the most secure velcro patches I’ve ever encountered. I feel like I get an arm muscle work-out every time I open the bag!
But the most inventive part are the velcro silencer flaps. If you just want to use the snaps, you can pull the silencer flaps over the velcro patches. No more arm work-outs, no more noisy velcro.
The inside of the bag I have is bright orange, which sounds garish but it actually quite helpful. You can see to the bottom of the bag and just about anything that falls in there can be located almost immediately.
The best part of the inside of the bag are the adjustable walls. There are two partitions that can either be completely removed, so that you have just one big open pouch, or that can rearranged to best fit your camera and lenses/accessories. They have the super duper velcro as well, so you can be rest assured that once you have them set-up to your liking, they are not going to come undone.
The Crumpler Five Million Dollar Home is $82.00 and comes in three stylish color combinations.
I was sent this Crumpler Five Million Dollar Home (as pictured) to review for this website. The opinions regarding this product are my own. The photos are mine and are used with permission.

I’m fairly certain that my first bag was this one, just in a different color.
Yup, love it!
