E ver find yourself in that “Same Old Pictures” rut? When you feel like all your photos are starting to look alike, and your creativity is lacking. You go to the SAME places, and see all the SAME ol’ stuff day in and day out. This happens to me at least a couple times a year, and if left to its devices can drag me down into a surefire photography slump.

One of my favorite methods to get my hiney back into the Swing of things (yes…bad pun!) is illustrated by the photos here. I purposefully take a series of photos of a subject from as many angles as I possibly can muster.

To do so, one must be willing to look like a fool at times, but I promise all the kneeling….bending…..climbing….and such will be worth it, when you find yourself OUT of that Photography FUNK!

I love seeing how different all the pictures can be. It really stretches my imagination, and opens my eyes to new ways of looking at things.

This particular set has some issue, I’ll admit, as I was also playing with settings that stop motion. Some are certainly off focus, but each has its own merit.

Each shot has its own message.

Each one holds its own memory.

You don’t want to miss a thing! Make it your mission, next time you are out taking the “same ol’ shots,” to push yourself to capture the SAME… DIFFERENTLY!
Try an angle you have never seen before. Lay down in front, on the side, or behind. Climb up on something and look down.
You might like THAT shot better than any other.

I like the shot where you can read the bottom of the shoe. Let’s go!
