This time of year, if you are anything like myself, you find yourself looking back over the past year, and wondering where the time has gone. Parents often lament about about their children growing up so fast, and not being able to remember all the little day to day things that brought us so much joy.
I’d like to suggest taking time to capture those very little things you are quickly forgetting with your camera. Often folks ask me where I find my inspiration for still images. The answer is simple. I aim my camera at anything I want to understand more fully, and/or remember forever.

What a great post and fantastic site! Just came upon it today. I absolutely love the photographers and reminders to capture the little things. It is truly what makes up happy.
This was a great post! I am definitely guilty of forgetting to take pics of those simple things that really are a big part of my daughter’s life. I think I, like a lot of others, wait for that big “Kodak moment!”
I loved this post. What a great reminder. If you are taking a photo of these little things in life, you are also noticing them!
Yes, absolutely! Love the meaning of this post!
This is such great advice. I have recently been thinking about this same line of thought. Thanks for the reminder!

Wonderfully inspiring as always, my friend. Are those little pink shoes in the last shot the squeakers AJ now trudges around in? Oh, I do hope so. That would make my heart so happy.
Oh, I just love this idea! As a mom to six, ages 6 and under, I so often glaze over the little things and catch myself searching my memory for them much later. I plan on trying this in the new year!
