The photo scavenger hunt sounds GREAT too! I’m always looking for fun projects like that online and they are hard to come by.
Gosh, there is so much I’d love to learn, from how to meter to how to set white balance. I guess my biggest question would be, what’s the best way to learn how to shoot in manual?

A couple of things I’d like to ask about tips on getting good indoor shots. I’m realizing that my popup flash isn’t doing me any favors, but without another, more expensive, flash, that is my only option for indoor shots.

I would ask for someone to help me understand shutter speed, what ISO is, and aperture. I keep hearing things and reading things about it but I’m still confused. Nothing has really settled into my brain and said “that makes sense now” yet.

I am about to purchase a new DSLR and I just need general help!!! I have been wanting to join but don’t want to spend the money until I have my camera! I am counting down the days until Christmas to get it!!!

I would love to know to get out of “slumps” when I feel down about the business. You know the times when the season is slow and/or you feel like all you are doing is taking pictures for clients and not for yourself anymore. I loooove the idea of the photography scavenger hunt! I have been DYING to joing, but being just a free-lance photog, mommy to a 2 year old, and married to the air foce [haha], I really don’t have that extra money!! Where to start? I think I mostly want to learn about the different lenses and then I would live help with Photoshop. There’s so much to learn!
I’d love to learn more about GIMP, an open source alternative to Photoshop. I used to have Photoshop and LOVED it, but when I switched platforms from PC to Mac my Photoshop version was too old to update. I can’t afford to buy PS, so I’m using GIMP.
I Would Love to get out of Auto Mode, learn more about shooting RAW, and photoshop tricks.

I shoot with a D-90, mainly just for pleasure. I would love to ask those that have a large lens collection now which lenses they’d recommend someone starting out a lens collection to start with

I would love to learn how to blur the backgrounds of my photos. This only happens for me when I’m up really close to the object I’m taking a picture of, but I would like to be able to do it with pictures I take from further away.
